• A typo in Assignment 1 has been fixed by replacing exer1.txt with exer2.txt in the instructions for Exercise 1.2v.

• The UCLA Linux Users Group is having an installfest Saturday, 2007-10-06, from 10:00–16:00 in Boelter Hall 4760. The LUG is an invaluable resource for getting up to speed on Linux, and you might want to visit them even if you already have it installed on your laptop.
