- Office hours have been posted for lab sections 1 through 3.
- A typo has been fixed in Assignment 1;
"if
where to I type the program name at the
prompt".

- We'll be handing out a CD in the first lab, containing
the current Ubuntu
desktop x86 release. It'll be helpful
(though not essential) to bring a USB drive to the first
lab. Experts are welcome to use another recent Linux
distribution.
- Assignment 1 and Assignment 10 are available. Please
see Assignments for other
assignments. These other assignments are tentative and may
change before the week they are due.
- Check that your
SEASnet
account works right away, as there are occasionally delays before
your account is activated.

Here are some suggestions if you're
interested in the course but are neither enrolled nor on the waiting list.
- Sign up at the HSSEAS OASA
Fall 2012 Enrollment Survey.
The Dean's office will use that to advise us if there is
a crunch.

Any PTEs are not typically given out until the end of the second week, to make sure that enough resources are available.
You can try coming to classes before then.
Sign up on any attendance sheet that is being passed around.
