Here are news items that affect the core assignments and class material.

2015-11-08

• Assignment 7 is available. It has been changed a bit from the draft.

2015-11-02

• The due date for Assignment 6 has been changed to November 7 (it was incorrectly listed as November 2). The due date for Assignment 7 has been changed from November 13 to November 14. The due date for Assignment 8 has been changed from November 20 to November 21. Other assignment due dates remain unchanged.
• Week 7 and 8 assignments have been changed from the earlier draft. (They are still in draft form.)

2015-10-27

• In Assignment 5, a few instaces of "newline" have been fixed to say "space". This is because a frobnicated newline is a space. Also, Homework 5 now has an example test case.

2015-10-19

• A stray "HI4" has been corrected to "hw4" in Homework 4.

2015-09-28

• Thuy's office hours are Mondays 12:15–14:15.
• The spelling of Jin's name has been corrected.

2015-09-21

• We'll be using the current Ubuntu desktop release. It may be helpful to bring a USB drive to the first lab. Experts are welcome to use another recent Linux distribution.
• Assignment 1 and Assignment 10 are available. Please see Assignments for other assignments. These other assignments are tentative and may change before the week they are due.
• Check that your SEASnet account works right away, as there are occasionally delays before your account is activated.
• Here are suggestions if you're interested in the course but are neither enrolled nor on the waiting list.
  • Read Enrollment in Undergraduate Computer Science Classes and follow its advice.
  • Any PTEs are not typically given out until the end of the second week, to make sure that enough resources are available. You can try coming to classes before then. Sign up on any attendance sheet that is being passed around.
