News for UCLA Computer Science 111, Spring 2010

 -  Here are some topics for your one-page
   report. Each topic is illustrated by a single article or web page,
   but please don't limit your reading to just this web page: you
   should be coming up with a summary of the topic, not the
   article. For example, some of these articles refer to recently
   published scholarly papers, and you should read the original
   papers, not just the article. Some of the topics are fairly large;
   the intent is that
   you focus on the operating system aspects of each topic, and not
   other technical components, management, economics, or politics. Please
   submit a one-page report in PDF form for the topic you chose.

   - The lecture classroom has been moved from Boelter 5249 to WGYoung CS24. The discussion classrooms are now both in Royce 190. Please make a note of the room change.
 
   - PTEs have been given out to all students who asked to enroll. If you are just auditing, you don't need a PTE. I assigned PTEs randomly to discussion sections 1 and 2; if you find you're in a section that you cannot attend, please switch with a student who can.
