Here are news items that affect the core assignments and
class material.

it is different from its preliminary version.

by changing two instances of log9 to log7.
- Assignment 7 is available;
it is quite a bit different from its preliminary version.

- Office hours have been noted down for the teaching assistants.

- Assignment 4 is available;
it is slightly different from its preliminary version.

- We'll be using the current Ubuntu
desktop x86 release. It'll be helpful
(though not essential) to bring a USB drive to the first
lab. Experts are welcome to use another recent Linux
distribution.
- Assignment 1 and Assignment 10 are available. Please
see Assignments for other
assignments. These other assignments are tentative and may
change before the week they are due.
- Check that your
SEASnet
account works right away, as there are occasionally delays before
your account is activated.

Here is a suggestion if you're
interested in the course but are neither enrolled nor on the waiting list.

Any PTEs are not typically given out until the end of the second week,
to make sure that enough resources are available.
You can try coming to classes before then.
Sign up on any attendance sheet that is being passed around.
