2014-03-03

• The ninth homework is now available and is a bit different from its prerelease version.

• The eighth homework is now available and is a bit different from its prerelease version.

• The fourth homework is now available and is a bit different from its prerelease version.

2014-01-14

• The due date for the 2nd homework has been extended to Tuesday, January 21.
• A link to the Piazza Q & A has been added to the home page.
• Lauren's office hours are Mondays 10:00–11:00 and Wednesdays 12:30–13:30.

2014-01-09

• Office hours for TAs are in Boelter 2432.
• Hongyi's office hours are Thursdays 12:00–13:00 and 14:00–15:00.
• Zijun's office hours are Thursdays 13:00–14:00 and 16:30–17:30.
• Sharath's office hours are Wednesdays 13:30–15:30.

2014-01-03

• We'll be using the current Ubuntu desktop x86 release. It'll be helpful (though not essential) to bring a USB drive to the first lab. Experts are welcome to use another recent Linux distribution.
• Assignment 1 and Assignment 10 are available. Please see Assignments for other assignments. These other assignments are tentative and may change before the week they are due.
• Check that your SEASnet account works right away, as there are occasionally delays before your account is activated.
• Here is a suggestion if you're interested in the course but are neither enrolled nor on the waiting list.
  • Any PTEs are not typically given out until the end of the second week, to make sure that enough resources are available. You can try coming to classes before then. Sign up on any attendance sheet that is being passed around.
