Here are some topics for your three-page report. The first topic is illustrated by an advocacy article; if you choose this one, please don't limit your reading to just this source: you should be coming up with a summary of the topic, not the article. The remaining topics are illustrated by a single article taken from ACM Computing Surveys (CSUR), where your job is to summarize and critique the survey article (for example: did it overlook important subtopics? is it up-to-date?). Some of the topics are fairly large; the intent is that you focus on the operating system aspects of each topic, and not other technical components, management, economics, or politics. Please submit a three-page report in PDF form for the topic you chose. Your audience for this report is a busy computer science professional who knows the operating systems but may not be an expert in this particular topic.
