This describes procedures for people who have already taken CS 190 and plan on
taking it in another quarter for credit.
CS 190 course grades depend on completion of a team project. Almost the
same part of the final grade as from the team project is from cooperation
and communication activities during a complete eleven week term. People
enrolled in the 190 course choose their own readings and work tasks.
Presentations and other required activity in CS 190 can be based on assignments
and readings in Web Publishing by Philip Greenspun.
Each person enrolled in CS 199
seeking credit for that work must hand in two copies of a separate report
(an individual report). The work in the report should match statements
in the Engineering School form filed for 199 enrollment.
The usual Web Publishing course involves lectures, exercises,
laboratory sessions, and a project. That project could overlap part of a
190 team effort.
