This is HH. I took CS190 with you and did a CS199 ... for you last year. I wanted email you to keep in touch and say thanks. Currently, I am working at ... a global defense and aerospace engineering firm. ...

Looking back, many of the things I learned from you in class are very useful in the workforce. The presentation, group work, design, and report skills are used on a daily basis at work. Those skills are not directly taught in any other CS courses, but are priceless in the working world.

Also, I wanted to say thanks taking the time to give me advice last year. I emailed you regarding graduate schools and careers, and your advice helped a great deal. Keep in touch and let me know how things are.
