I am a second-year Computer Science Ph.D. student at the University of California, Los Angeles. I am lucky enough to work with great people as a member of the Internet Reseach Laboratory and be supervised by Professor Lixia Zhang. My current research interests revolve around the areas of Network Systems and Protocols, Information Centric Networking (ICN) and specifically Named Data Networking (NDN).

Formerly, I received my diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens. While being there, I was an Undergraduate Research Member of the NETwork Management & Optimal DEsign (NETMODE) Laboratory and conducted research under the supervision of Professor Vasilis Maglaris. My diploma thesis was about network virtualization in Multi-Tenant OpenFlow/Software Defined Networking (SDN) environments. Specifically, we proposed and evaluated various slicing policies (network control-plane slicing methods) applicable to such environments. This work can be found here.


May 2016: I successfully passed my PhD Qualifying Exams (oral and written) and I have officially advanced to candidacy. My work can be found here.

April 2016: I will be interning at Cisco Systems in Boston during summer 2016. My mentor is Dr. Ralph Droms.

October 2015: We are glad to announce the release of version 0.4.0 beta 2 of the Named Data Networking Forwarding Daemon (NFD) and the ndn-cxx library.

September 2015: We are glad to announce the release of ndnSIM 2.1; the NS-3 based Named Data Networing (NDN) simulator. Installation instructions, detailed documentation and examples can be found on the ndnSIM website. The ndnSIM repository is now a part of the Named Data Networking GitHub organization. This organization hosts repositories essential to ndnSIM, simulation scenarios and templates. We strongly encourage all the ndnSIM users that would like their code to be available under this organization to contact us.
