OVM Tips
-
How to compile:
- Check that you have Java 1.2 or higher.
You can do that with the command java -version .
- cd OpenVM/src/ovm/
- make
- If the make fails, then check that in the makefile there is not an
empty line (on Solaris, make has a problem with empty lines).
-
How to run:
- The first line in
OpenVM/src/ovm/tools/conf/*.sh
points to the shell /bin/bash .
However, this may not work on your machine (especially if it is
a Xinu machine), so change the first line
such that it points to a valid shell.
For example, change the line to
#!/bin/sh or #!/usr/local/gnu/bash or something else.
- cd OpenVM/src/ovm/tools/conf/test
- javac -classpath . `find * -name "*.java"`
(this will compile the testcases)
- ../buildargs.sh > classlist
(this creates the list of classes)
- cd ..
- ./run.sh test test/classlist
