About Me
I serve as an associate adjunct professor of computer science and a research scientist at UCLA's
center
for SMART health. My previous roles include managing technical director at the Clinical and
Translational Science Institute, UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine, and chief technologist in
the Big Data and Analytical Unit, Department of Surgery and Cancer, at Imperial College London. My
academic journey includes a PhD, "An Artificial Intelligence Framework for Investigative Reasoning",
focusing on reformulation of AI problems and combined reasoning.
I have dedicated efforts towards the goal of transforming healthcare with artificial intelligence,
focusing on novel methodologies for data analysis, development of remote patient
monitoring frameworks, and construction of healthcare ecosystems. Collectively, they aim to harness
diverse data-generating
activity and biomarker sensors, electronic health records and
interactive tools, in concert, to elucidate patients storylines
beyond the confines of traditional care facilities. Through my research I seek to enhance our
understanding and management of patients health in a more
continuous and context-aware manner, improving care quality, personalizing healthcare, and
facilitating
early disease detection.
