Grading Detail: Letter grade
only. Grading policy for undergraduates: laboratory (50%), midterm
examination (20%), final examination(20%), class participation (10%). Grading
policy for graduate students: midterm examination (20%), class
participation (10%), final project (70%). Final project is chosen by the
student and subject to approval by the instructor.
Undergraduates can request to substitute
laboratory work and final examination with a final project and be graded
according to grading policy for graduate students (subject to instructor's
approval). "Class participation" consists in answering questions in class,
volunteering for exercises, proposing solutions. |
