Yuze Chi (Blaok) is a third-year PhD student in Computer Science Department, UCLA. Being advised by Prof. Jason Cong, Yuze is looking for software/hardware optimization opportunities in many big data applications, including graph processing, image processing, and genomics. Beyond building accelerators for each of the applications one by one, Yuze is also working on building unified programming frameworks for heterogeneous systems so that software programmers can benefit from the hardware accelerators without having to go through the tedious details of hardware design.
