Rafail Ostrovsky is an expert on security and cryptography, and  has eight patents and over 150 papers published in scientific journals. He organized a three-month program at IPAM called Securing Cyberspace which brought mathematicians, computer scientists, and others together to discuss current problems in cryptography and computer security.
