The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) is one of nine research
and teaching organizations within the state. There are schools
and colleges within UCLA, as well as institutes and programs, many
enabling study of emerging fields that do not fit within existing
academic structures.
The School of Engineering and Applied Science (SEAS) has seven departments. The
Computer Science Department (CSD) has research in Methodology, Theory, Networks
and other fields AI and PR. Electrical Engineering (EE)
has research in Speech, Images, Communications and other fields. The
Biomedical Engineering Program enables study in several departments in
and outside of SEAS.
Anderson School of Management (ASM), Graduate School of Education and
Information Studies (GSEIS), School of Public Policy and Social Research
(SPPSR) present courses and research in allied areas.
There are courses taught to the general Los Angeles and world community through
University Extension (UNEX).
