Lixia's Teaching
I teach 3 courses on a yearly basis:
- CS118: Introduction to Networking: every spring quarter. In this course I explain the basic ideas behind seemingly complex Internet protocols, combined with the anecdotes I cumulated over 40+ years working with these protocols.
- CS217A: Internet Architecture and Protocols: every fall quarter to introduce incoming graduate students into networking research; undergraduate students interested in networking are also welcome to try it out.
- CS217B: Advanced Topics in Internet Research: every winter quarter. In recent years, this course has been focusing on the design and development of Named Data Networking, a new Internet architecture.
