Hello! I am Shanmu, a second-year Ph.D student in Computer Science at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), supervised by Professor Omid Abari. Previously, I earned my Master's degree in Computer Science from UCLA (2024) and my Bachelor's degree in Information Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) (2023), where I work with Professor Dongyao Chen.

Research

I build sensing systems for physical-world applications, with hardware and algorithm co-designs. My current research interests include leveraging and extending time-series foundation models to improve wireless sensing systems, and general embodied AI/robotics problems.

  • Working on multi-sensor Vision-Languag-Action (VLA) model, which gives robot beyond-the-RGB abilities.
